Section 23 พระราชบัญญัติสถาบันวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศไทย พ.ศ. 2522
หมวด ๒ การกำกับ การควบคุม และการบริหาร
(๑) มีอายุไม่เกินหกสิบปี
(๒) ทำงานให้แก่สถาบันได้เต็มเวลา
(๓) ไม่เป็นข้าราชการประจำ ข้าราชการส่วนท้องถิ่น หรือข้าราชการการเมืองหรือดำรงตำแหน่งในทางการเมือง รวมทั้งสมาชิกสภาท้องถิ่น และผู้บริหาร ท้องถิ่น
(๔) มีคุณสมบัติและไม่มีลักษณะต้องห้ามตามมาตรา ๑๖ (๑) (๓) (๔) (๕) หรือ (๘)
