พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่มีอำนาจที่จะตรวจและค้นเรือลำหนึ่งลำใดที่ใช้ หรือมีเหตุอันควรสงสัยว่าได้ใช้ในการประมงโดยละเมิดต่อพระราชบัญญัตินี้ และมีอำนาจยึดเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการประมง เอกสาร และวัตถุอื่นใดอันพึงใช้เป็นพยานหลักฐานในการกระทำผิดต่อพระราชบัญญัตินี้ รวมทั้งสัตว์น้ำที่พบอยู่ในเรืออันควรสงสัยว่าได้จับในเขตการประมงไทยด้วย
