Section 249 ประมวลกฎหมายอาญา

หมวด ๑ ความผิดเกี่ยวกับเงินตรา

ผู้ใดทำบัตรหรือโลหะธาตุอย่างใด ๆ ให้มีลักษณะและขนาดคล้ายคลึงกับเงินตรา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเหรียญกษาปณ์ ธนบัตรหรือสิ่งใด ๆ ซึ่งรัฐบาลออกใช้หรือให้อำนาจให้ออกใช้หรือพันธบัตรรัฐบาล หรือใบสำคัญสำหรับรับดอกเบี้ยพันธบัตรนั้น ๆ หรือจำหน่ายบัตรหรือโลหธาตุเช่นว่านั้น ต้องระวางโทษจำคุกไม่เกินหนึ่งปี หรือปรับไม่เกินสองหมื่นบาท หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ ถ้าการจำหน่ายบัตร หรือโลหะธาตุดังกล่าวในวรรคแรกเป็นการจำหน่าย โดยการนำออกใช้ดังเช่นสิ่งใด ๆ ที่กล่าวในวรรคแรก ผู้กระทำต้องระวางโทษจำคุกไม่เกินสามปี หรือปรับไม่เกินหกหมื่นบาท หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ
